Series consists of deeds and accompanying plans or surveys of property in Concord and elsewhere in Mass. (Removed during preliminary sorting of the Brooks collection by Concord historian and archivist Ruth R. Wheeler from the papers of estates that Brooks administered, the deeds in this series cannot be easily reintegrated into the papers from which they came.) In addition to the deeds relating to Concord, the series includes deeds relating to Acton, Bedford, Boston, Boxborough, Carlisle, Charlestown, Lexington, Lincoln, Littleton, Natick, Sudbury, Shirley, Wendell, and Winchendon. (Cont.) Among the family names represented in the Concord deeds are Adams, Alcott, Barrett, Bigelow, Bond, Bowers, Britton, Brown, Burr, Buttrick, Clark, Cogswell, Crosby, Davis, Farrar, Flint, Garfield, Hosmer, How, Hubbard, Hunt, Hunstable, Hurd, Jarvis, Jones, Keyes, Loring, Meriam, Merrick, Minot, Moore, Shattuck, Smith, Temple, White, Wood, and Wright.
